How Can I Offer More Jean Styles Without Inflating My Costs?

You want to offer a diverse collection of jeans, but the high minimum order quantity1 (MOQ) for each individual style is financially crippling. This forces you to limit your creative vision.

We solve this by bundling your multi-style orders. You can combine different designs and washes to meet one larger total MOQ, unlocking volume discounts that make offering variety affordable.

A collection of different jean styles and washes neatly folded together, representing a bundled order.

I remember working with a designer from New York, a lot like Dean, who had amazing ideas for five different jean fits. But he only had the budget to produce one. He felt creatively trapped.

I told him, "Let's treat this like one big order, not five small ones." We combined his five designs, each with a small run of 200 pairs, into a single 1,000-unit production order.

Instantly, his cost per unit dropped because he hit our 1,000-unit price tier. He launched his full collection instead of just one piece.

This is the difference between a simple supplier and a manufacturing partner. We find ways to make your creative vision a reality, efficiently and affordably.

How Are Discounts Calculated for Mixed-Style Bundles?

You are ready to bundle styles, but you are not sure how the savings are calculated. You need to understand the math behind the discount to confidently plan your budget and retail pricing.

We calculate discounts based on the total number of jeans in your entire bundled order. The more pairs you order overall, the lower the price per unit is for every single style.

Our discount system2 is simple and transparent. The logic is that larger total orders make our factory more efficient.

When we are cutting fabric for 2,000 pairs, even if they are across five styles, we can buy the denim in bulk and optimize our cutting layouts.

This saves material and time. We pass those savings directly to you.

A heavily embellished jean might have a higher starting price than a simple, clean one, but both styles will receive the same percentage discount based on the total volume tier you hit.

We provide you with a clear pricing chart so you can see exactly how your unit cost will drop as your total order size increases. There are no hidden fees or complex formulas.

Sample Bundle Discount Tiers

Total Order Quantity Discount Tier Example Unit Cost
500 - 999 pairs Tier 1 $15.00
1,000 - 2,999 pairs Tier 2 $13.50
3,000+ pairs Tier 3 $12.00

Can I Mix Different Washes to Meet MOQ?

Your classic straight-leg jean is a huge seller. You want to offer it in new washes like black, stone wash, and a light vintage fade, but meeting a full MOQ for each wash is not feasible.

Yes, you absolutely can. Mixing different washes of the same base jean style is one of the smartest and most common ways to meet an MOQ while expanding your product offering.

Three pairs of the same style of jeans shown side-by-side, each with a distinctly different wash—dark, medium stone wash, and light acid wash.

This is an area where we can be very flexible. When you use the same pattern and fabric for a single style, the initial production steps—cutting and sewing—are identical.

The jeans are all made as "raw" or "ready-for-dye" garments. The variation happens at the very end, in our washhouse.

It is very efficient for us to take a large batch of 500 sewn jeans and split them into smaller groups for different wash treatments.

For example, we could run 200 in a stone wash, 200 in a black dye, and 100 in a simple rinse.

This allows you to test new wash colors and cater to different customer tastes without committing to a massive inventory for each one. It is a low-risk, high-reward strategy for growing your brand.

What Pricing Tiers Apply When Bundling Numerous Designs?

You are planning a big collection with ten or more different styles. You need to know how the pricing structure works so that you can manage your budget and ensure your costs are predictable.

Our pricing tiers are based on the total volume of your order, not the number of styles. Whether you bundle two designs or ten, your price per unit is determined by the total quantity.

A staircase graphic with different volume numbers (500, 1000, 5000) on each step, and a progressively lower price on the step above it.

We keep our pricing structure straightforward to help you plan. The tiers are based purely on the total number of units. This gives you incredible freedom to be creative.

You could have an order of 3,000 units spread across ten different styles, and you will still get our best Tier 3 pricing on every single piece.

Of course, a jean with complex custom embroidery will have a higher base cost than a simple five-pocket jean. But both of those items will benefit from the same Tier 3 volume discount.

For brands that we have long-term relationships with, we can even create custom pricing tiers3 or lock in favorable rates with a contract. This provides stability and predictability as you scale your business with us.

How Do I Balance Style Variety With Cost Efficiency?

You want to offer a wide range of styles to capture a bigger market. But you are worried that having too many different designs will create complexity and erase the cost savings from bundling.

The most effective strategy is to build your bundle around core styles. Use similar fabrics across several designs and dedicate 80% of your volume to proven sellers, using the rest to test new ideas.

A pie chart split 80/20, with the 80% section filled with images of classic jeans and the 20% section showing more trendy, experimental styles.

This is where my 20 years of experience can really help you. I see it as a strategic partnership. The smartest way to bundle is to group items that share common elements.

For instance, if you have a slim, a straight, and a bootcut style that all use the same 12oz indigo denim, we can treat that fabric purchase as one massive buy, which dramatically lowers your material costs.

A good rule ofthumb is the 80/20 rule. Allocate about 80% of your total order volume to your 2-3 best-selling, core styles. Then, use the remaining 20% to experiment with new, trend-driven designs.

This approach gives you the volume you need for great pricing on your core products, while also providing a low-risk way to test new ideas in the market. It is the perfect balance of commercial safety and creative freedom.

Bundling your orders is more than just a trick to get a discount. It is a strategic tool that unlocks creative freedom, reduces financial risk, and helps you grow your brand intelligently.
