A Trusted Jeans Manufacturer From China Since 2004!

How Do I Protect My Jeans Brand’s Designs and Logos in China?

You created a unique design. But you're worried about knockoffs appearing before you even launch. Protecting your intellectual property feels impossible when manufacturing thousands of miles away.

Protection requires a multi-layered approach. This includes a strong Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), strict control over custom hardware1, secure in-factory processes, and clear rules for handling your confidential samples.

Over my 20 years in this business, I have seen designers get burned by factories that don't respect their ideas. It's a deal-breaker.

A good factory knows that your success is their success. We build trust by protecting your most valuable asset: your design.

It's not just about a single document; it’s about a complete system of confidentiality.

Let's walk through the exact steps a trustworthy partner2 should take to give you peace of mind.

Can You Sign an NDA to Protect My Exclusive Denim Designs?

You have a groundbreaking design, but you're hesitant to share the details. A verbal promise of confidentiality isn't enough. You need real legal protection to feel secure before you send anything over.

Yes, and a professional factory will insist on it. The NDA must clearly define all your confidential information, extend to all employees and sub-suppliers, and include clear penalties for any breaches.

An NDA is the foundation of our partnership. It's the first step we take before you share any designs. But not all NDAs are the same.

A weak one is worse than nothing because it gives you a false sense of security. A strong NDA must do three things.

First, it must be specific. We clearly define "confidential information" to include everything: your CAD patterns, wash recipes, logo artwork, and even your business strategies.

Second, it must cover everyone. I make sure the agreement applies not just to me, but to my pattern makers, sales staff, and any outside supplier we use for your hardware.

Leaks often happen through third parties, so we close that loophole.

Finally, the NDA must have consequences. It outlines financial penalties for any breach and stays in effect for at least two to three years after we stop working together. This ensures your designs remain protected long-term.

How Do You Protect My Custom Buttons, Rivets, and Patches?

Your custom-branded hardware is a key part of your brand's identity.

But what if the factory makes extra and sells them to another company? Your unique branding could end up all over the market on knockoffs.

We protect your hardware by confirming you own the molds, controlling production quantities precisely, and providing a written guarantee that your custom designs will never be used for any other client, ever.

Your custom hardware is like your signature. It needs special protection. The first thing we establish is that you, the brand, retain 100% ownership of the molds used to make your buttons and rivets.

We label these molds with your brand name and store them in a locked, secure location. We also provide total transparency on production quantities.

For every order, we create a "hardware production report." This report shows the total number of items produced, how many were used on your jeans, and exactly how many are left over.

We then ask you what you want to do with the extras. We can either ship them to you or destroy them on-site. This prevents any excess stock from falling into the wrong hands.

Most importantly, we put it in writing that we will never use your custom designs or molds for another brand. Not a similar design, not a slightly modified one. Your hardware is exclusively yours.

What In-Factory Measures Prevent My Designs from Being Copied?

An NDA is signed, but what happens on the factory floor? A single photo taken by a worker could leak your entire collection online. This would be a disaster for your launch.

We use a combination of digital and physical security. This includes password-protected servers for your files, restricted access to your production line, and mandatory confidentiality training3 for all of our employees.

A legal document is one thing, but day-to-day actions are what truly protect you. We focus on security in both the digital and physical worlds.

All your digital files, like patterns and logos, are stored on a password-protected server with very limited access.

Only the specific staff working on your project can open them. We have strict rules against transferring files via USB drives or personal email.

On the production floor, your order is produced in a designated zone. Other clients and unauthorized visitors are not allowed in this area.

We also have a strict no-photo and no-video policy for all employees on the factory floor. This is a common source of leaks, and we take it very seriously.

Finally, we train our people. Every employee at DiZNEW signs an individual confidentiality agreement.

They understand that protecting our clients' designs is a core part of their job, and there are serious consequences if they violate that trust.

How Do You Handle and Dispose of My Confidential Samples?

You have gone through multiple rounds of samples to get the fit just right. But what happens to all the rejected ones? An old prototype with your logo could easily end up in a market or be copied.

We track every sample with a detailed log. At your request, we will destroy all unapproved or excess samples and provide photo or video proof of their destruction to ensure they never leak.

Samples are a high-risk item because they are a physical copy of your design. We manage them with a very strict process.

From the moment we create the first prototype, we use a "sample log4." This document tracks every sample we make for you. It shows who has the sample, where it is, and what its status is. This gives you a clear chain of custody5.

When a sample is rejected or when the project is over, you decide what happens to them. If you want them destroyed, we do it thoroughly.

We don't just throw them in the trash. We physically cut off all logos and tags and then cut the garment itself into pieces so it cannot be repaired or copied.

To give you complete peace of mind, we will send you photos or a short video of the destruction process. We also promise in writing that we will never use your samples as a reference for another client or display them in our showroom.
